How the Tempest Gold strategy works

Gold spends hours doing very little and then moves a hundred dollars in an afternoon. Tempest Gold is built for that behaviour, so it measures how compressed the recent range is and arms itself when the market goes quiet, because quiet is what usually comes before the move.

When price finally leaves the compressed area, the robot enters in the direction of the escape and places its protection at a distance that matches the volatility it just measured. Therefore the stop is wide when gold is wild and much tighter on a slow session.
