How the Tripwire Scalper strategy works

One MACD tells you whether momentum points up or down on the chart you are watching. Tripwire Scalper runs three of them with different settings, so it asks the same question on a short, a medium and a slow horizon at the same time.

A trade opens only when the three agree. That agreement is rare, which is the whole point, because the robot skips the choppy stretches where a single MACD would flip back and forth and concentrates its trades in the short windows where momentum is aligned everywhere.

Because it scalps, the spread filter is not decoration. Set it to what your broker really charges and the behaviour changes immediately. After that, widening the slowest MACD makes the robot more selective, and shortening it gives you more trades with more noise.
